Description

Barclay Watt is excited to launch this picture perfect three bedroom, two bathroom cottage in the much sought after village of Bishop Monkton. The property is beautifully presented and offers great family accommodation arranged over three floors. Having undergone a full refurbishment over recent years, the property still retains many original features, such as the beautiful fireplaces in several rooms. Bishop Monkton is widely regarded as one of the prettiest villages in North Yorkshire, and has a great community with many events organised by locals throughout the year. There is a village primary school, a preschool and bus routes to other surrounding schools, and the extremely popular Masons pub which is the hub of the village, and who serve amazing Sunday Roasts. Kirkdene Cottage is directly opposite the local church and beck and so offers pretty views from the front aspect. Viewings are highly recommended to fully appreciate this beautiful home.

The cottage is approached via a pretty front garden with pathway leading to the front door;

What the Owners Say; We've felt very lucky living somewhere so picturesque that people come to visit on holiday, and everyone in the village is very welcoming. Our home is very deceptive, three double bedrooms is very unusual and the house has lots of natural light throughout. The local pub, The Masons, provides a warm welcome throughout the year and can be counted on for a lovely Sunday Roast. The incredible view of the church from the front of the house will never change and you can watch couples getting married there throughout the year.

What Barclay Watt Say ; we are delighted to be selling this absolutely stunning cottage. As soon as you enter this home you appreciate how beautifully presented it is. Larger than most cottages of this era, each room is well proportioned and stylishly decorated, highlighting the great features. Each bedroom is a large double, which again is unusual for this period, and the bathroom is absolutely stunning. This is the epitome of a 'turn key' property as literally nothing needs to be done to further enhance it. The village of Bishop Monkton is one our favourite villages as there is still a real sense of community, with a wide demographic of residents; from young couples, through to families who take advantage of the many benefits of the local area, not to mention the village primary school and pre-school. There is so much nearby, Newby Hall and Bolton Abbey being just two of them. Harrogate is only a short drive away with its excellent transport links, shops and restaurants. This property will not be available for long!
